As a journalist, Ms. Fern wrote and edited in all styles – sports, lifestyles, hard news, columns, and today she continues to contribute opinion editorials and features to many national and local newspapers and magazines. When she is not a featured writer, or featured as a writer in the news, she lectures at the university level and delivers seminars and motivational speeches to organizations and groups nationwide.
